Pricing

Long Arm Quilting Pricing:

Our prices are based on the size of your quilt and complexity of the stitching. We charge by the square inch in 3 different categories: 

1. Edge to Edge - One pattern covering your entire quilt with one thread color. Cost depends on the complexity and density of the stitch. See Stitching Options page for details.

2. Semi-Custom - This is a combination of a simple overall design along with some custom border, sashing, and/or block design. Cost calculated by the square inch for each section: Center, border, sashing, block. See Stitching Options page for details. 

3. Full-Custom - Custom Quilting prices vary and are determined on a case-by-case basis. Please contact us for custom pricing.

 (There is a minimum charge of $40.)

Batting Pricing:

You are welcome to provide your own batting or you can purchase from us. If you chose to provide your own batting, please see the Preparing Your Quilt page for more direction. 

We carry batting from both The Warm Company and Quilter's Dream.

Currently available is Quilter's Dream in 80/20 at $.45/linear inch (120 inches wide) and Bamboo at $.35/linear inch (90 inches wide)

We also carry a selection of 100% cotton in various weights, wool, and polyester. We carry a limited selection of Dream Green (a batting made from recycled material) and Dream Angel (a batting made from flame retardant fibers). We're happy to make special orders.

Backing Pricing:

Most people provide the backing for us, or you can purchase from us. If you chose to provide your own backing, please see the Preparing Your Quilt page for more direction. 

We carry 120” wide muslin fabric which provides a seamless back with less cost. We charge $.30 per linear inch.

Thread Pricing: 

Solid colored thread runs $8 and variegated thread runs $10. Bobbin thread is included as is the fresh needle cost.  

Binding Pricing:

We also provide Binding services at different levels, charged by the linear inch. You provide the binding - cut at your preferred width (minimum 2.5 inches), preferably strips joined at a 45 degree angle.

1. You provide the binding, we machine sew on the front with mitered corners for 10 cents per linear inch.

2. You provide the binding, we machine-sew on the front with mitered corners and machine-sew on the back for 25 cents per linear inch.

3. Custom binding – for non-standard edges (i.e scallops, waves, etc) You provide the binding (cut on the bias) machine-sew on the front, cost is on a case by case basis.

We do not offer hand quilting services at this time. 

Quilt Trimming Pricing: 

If we do not sew the binding on completely for you, quilts can be trimmed for a $10-$20 fee.  Let us know how you like it trimmed (i.e. at the edge, ¼” beyond the edge, or further for batting fullness in the binding)

Shipping Pricing:

We ship via USPS ground. Cost varies depending on size and weight of the quilt, and location. If requested, insurance can be added for about $10. An estimate would be given before shipping costs are incurred.

Correction and Repair:

If your quilt requires additional pressing, trimming threads, seam repair, seaming back or squaring backing we will contact you to determine if you would like to make these corrections yourself (shipping at your expense) or if you would like us to make the corrections at a fee of $30.00 per hour (billed in quarter hour increments). To avoid these charges make sure your quilt is completely ready to be loaded when you bring it in or send it.

Minimum:

There is a $40 minimum for services.
